Mein pädagogischer Ansatz fußt auf der Überzeugung, dass jegliches Lernen stets und immer ein Vorgang ist, der der vollen Selbstverantwortung des Lernenden unterliegt. Niemand kann gezwungen werden irgendetwas zu lernen.
Sicherlich ist der Rahmen, in dem sich dies vollziehen kann, maßgeblich. So wird ein junger Mensch einen anderen Handlungsrahmen brauchen, als ein Erwachsener.
Junge Menschen, Kinder werden genau wie Erwachsene ihre Lernmotivation aus sich selbst heraus gewinnen. Sie sind in der Regel mit einer überbordenden intrinsischen Motivation ausgestattet. Diese erhält und stärkt sich durch den Vertrauensraum, den die begleitenden Erwachsenen gewähren.
Die Erwachsenenpädagogik kann sich leider darauf nicht immer stützen. Biografie- und auch Schulerfahrungen können das Vertrauen aufgebraucht oder gar zerstört haben. Gleichwohl braucht das Lernen Vertrauen, braucht Selbstvertrauen, braucht den Eigenentschluss des Lernenden. Dieser umfasst die Inhalte, die Ziele, die Methoden, die Lehrer, die Zeiten und Zeiträume.
Der Pädagoge wird damit zum Lernbegleiter, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Dies setzt ein völlig anderes Rollenverständnis, eine andere Haltung voraus, als der klassische Lehrer sie zu haben vermeint. Ein Lernbegleiter stellt Fragen, weist auf Besonderheiten hin, schlägt Methoden vor, gibt Feedback und steht in Krisen des Lernenden diesem zur Seite, wenn er es wünscht. Der Lernerfolg wird damit vollständig eine Angelegenheit des Lernenden.
